Since 2023, Doubletapp has been a technology partner to Yandex 360, providing staff-augmentation development teams. Our engineers work directly inside the teams that build Yandex Disk, one of the core services of the ecosystem responsible for secure file storage, synchronization, and collaboration.
The Doubletapp team has contributed to a wide range of initiatives, including regional versions of the product. We help adapt Yandex Disk for new markets (CIS, Turkey, and African regions), localize currencies and UI elements, fix access-control issues, and improve email-related functionality. By working inside Yandex 360 teams, we help ensure the reliability and quality of tools used daily by millions of people to store documents, share files, and send emails.
Doubletapp is part of Yandex’s official staff-augmentation partner pool and builds teams that consistently pass internal selection processes and integrate smoothly into client workflows.

The client needed experienced developers who could join existing teams quickly and maintain high delivery speed without sacrificing quality. Because the Yandex 360 ecosystem is rapidly expanding, speed, consistency, and reliability of the staff-augmentation partner were critical.
To work with Yandex, a provider must pass the vendor qualification process and join the official partner pool. Yandex selects multiple companies, all of whom receive requests and submit candidates.
Doubletapp has been working with Yandex teams for over five years. After joining the vendor pool, we now receive requests through a shared channel with nearly 90 partner companies. When a request arrives, we submit candidates who pass internal technical screenings and are ready to start as soon as they are approved.

Doubletapp has built a process that ensures engineers pass internal selection and integrate quickly:
- Candidate matching is based on a specific Yandex 360 team request.
- Internal prep and technical interviews with our team leads ensure smooth onboarding.
- Post-onboarding support: adaptation assistance, regular reviews, and quality control.
Most Doubletapp specialists work on Yandex 360 long-term—often for over a year. Teams consist primarily of mid-level+, senior engineers, and team leads who manage delivery while remaining hands-on.
Although Yandex has internal limits on augmentation tenure, our engineers stay within the ecosystem long-term, moving between projects in the same product area. This continuity is made possible by strong performance and deep contextual understanding.

To accelerate adaptation, Doubletapp has developed its own learning and support framework:
- Joint training programs with Ural Federal University, preparing students to junior/junior+ levels with real project experience.
- Internal development programs: mentoring, company-funded conference participation, and 10% paid time dedicated to skill growth.
- Interview preparation aligned with Yandex expectations: mock interviews, architecture problem-solving, error analysis.
- Regular feedback and support during onboarding and team transitions.
This system reduces the ramp-up time needed for specialists to join Yandex projects and ensures work quality comparable to internal teams.
On the technical side, the Doubletapp team primarily develops and supports the core of Yandex Disk—secure storage, synchronization, and shared access.
Key responsibilities include backend storage and file delivery, including access management. Even small issues here can create conflicts when multiple users edit or access the same file simultaneously. As new features roll out, our team promptly identifies and resolves issues, maintaining stability and reliability.
